Yes, believe it or not this is the kind of car I want! We were leaving our favorite mexican restaurant the other day and I saw this totally cool vintage car! I had to stop and take a picture :)

Is it really a poem? Lol!

Well I have no idea why, but as soon as I woke up this morning, a poem(if I can call it that) popped into my head totally out of the blue. And I'm not even into poetry or anything!!! This "poem" is the absolutely most corny, dumb poem I have ever written or read. It sounded so silly! It was about...............(drum roll, please) CHOCOLATE MILK!!!!!!! CHOCOLATE MILK OF ALL THINGS!!!! I wasn't even dreaming or thinking about chocolate milk. In fact I haven't had chocolate milk for a few weeks (sadly :( lol). Let me quote the first couple of lines and you'll TOTALLY get the picture! Ok here goes (deep breath)........ Chocolate milk is yummy, it makes other drinks taste crummy, when I put it in my mouth, I want more than just a douse ......... Get the picture!?!? It was hillarious ( to me at least). You just never know what will pop into head :D

Fall Festival

Well tonight was the Fall Festival at the church. It was a lot of fun and we had a bunch of guests! Sadly I wasn't able to get many pics, but I did get a few.......

We were driving by McDonald's tonight and I glanced over and saw a white limo in the parking lot! What?!?  I just thought it was funny!!!

Balloons are everywhere!

In Natchez every year there is The Great Mississippi Balloon Race. So on the way to church Sunday morning I looked up and saw tons of hot air balloons-and most of them were landing in the parking lot of one of the shopping centers. I was able to get some pictures on my phone and unfortunately by time I started videoing, we had already driven past the majority of the balloons.

Bus Ministry Outreach Promotion

This past week for our bus ministry promotion we had a drawing for a GIANT candy bar for the Sunday School children. No, we did not get in the kitchen and make one...we simply glued lots and lots of candy bars to a board to make a giant candy bar and no, we couldn't resist eating a lot of chocolate ourselves along the way :) !

Glasses.......

Well, a few months ago I went to the optometrist and he said I needed glasses, so then we I ordered them from a website. So a few weeks later I recieved them. I opened them up to find that they were not the glasses that I had ordered, and that they were all men's glasses. So my Dad called customer servive and they had accidentally switched my order and someone else's. So finally (weeks later) Saturday I got them. I thought I looked a bit nerdy in them, but I wore them to church on Sunday anyway. Some people said I looked better in them. Go figure!

Beat the Heat!

It's hotter than ever in Natchez, and I'm already wishing for winter ( I actually am listening to Christmas music right now) and trying to stay cool in this weather! It's so hot that 80 degrees is cool to us. If it goes down to 70 degrees, we're liable to wear sweaters and boots :-) just kidding! When I walk outside, my glasses fog up from the humidity! Last week, on vacation, the way my family and the Zeiglers (they were on vacation with us) beat the heat was by driving up to the highest point in the Georgia mountains. You're supposed to drive up the mountain, then take the shuttle to the top of Brasstown Bald. Well, when we got to the mountain, it turned out that the shuttle was closed.......soooo someone got the idea to climb the VERY steep shuttle road to the Brasstown Bald. In the rain. I was very upset, but I didn't want to be the only one that stayed behind. It didn't help matters to see a sign that said, "Bears are active in this area".  So we started the trek up the road that was so steep that I couldn't hardly move. When we (FINALLY) made it to the top the park rangers were like, "Ya'll climbed the shuttle road?". Ha. But all that to beat the heat because when we got to the top it was 68 degrees! Yeah! Well, my parents and I started back down (the Zeiglers were still at the top). Because it was so steep, we basically had to run down the hill. So on the way back saw a bobcat on the road. I was terrified! Needless to say, my family will go to dire straits to beat the heat! :)

P.E.A.K. is Almost Here!

Well it is a little less than two weeks till P.E.A.K. and I am already getting excited! It gets better with every year. If you've never been you should make plans to attend :). It is spiritualy refreshing but also lots of fun!

My First Post!

So this is my first post. I decided to start a blog for a couple of reasons. The first reason was to help my writing skills, which are not very good.
